Aug. 3, 2020 - Armed Forces Sports has notified USA Wrestling that an athlete who participated in the 2020 Armed Forces Wrestling Championships has had his results disqualified, thus changing the outcome of the competition, which was held at Naval Station Kitsap, Wash. from February 20-24.

Feb. 25, 2020 - Defending champion Army won the first five matches of the championship finals, and went on to defeat the U.S. Marine Corps, 26-17 for its 19th straight men’s freestyle title at the Armed Forces Championships, held at Naval Base Kitsap on Sunday.

Feb. 22, 2020 - Due to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's (USADA) sanction of Army SGT Vladyslav Dombrovskiy, the Marine Corps has been declared the 2020 Armed Forces Greco-Roman champions.

Feb. 21, 2020 - The 2020 Armed Forces Wrestling Championships are set for Naval Base Kitsap in Washington state, February 22-23 This event features Greco-Roman and freestyle teams from four branches of the U.S. military battling for team titles, and individual medals. Traditionally, some of the nation’s best international wrestlers have been members of U.S. military wrestling programs and have competed in this event.

Oct. 26, 2019 - One of the Army’s fiercest competitors on the wrestling mat isn’t what you’d expect. Standing at five feet and three inches tall with long blonde hair, this Soldier took silver during the 7th CISM Military World Games in Wuhan, China.

Feb. 23, 2019 - As expected, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps earned the right to battle for the Greco-Roman team title at the Armed Forces Championships. Both teams had won every single match of their first two dual meets, setting up a showdown for the title.

Feb. 22, 2016 - BREMERTON, Wash. – The U.S. Army won the men’s freestyle competition at the 2016 Armed Forces Championships, winning all three of its dual meets handily and earning six individual champions at KITSAP Naval Base on Sunday. It was the 15th straight year the Army has won this event.

Oct. 5, 2014 - FORT DIX, N.J. – 2008 Olympic bronze medalist SGT Randi Miller captured the gold medal at 69 kg in women’s freestyle, on of four U.S. medalists on Saturday night at the CISM Military World Championships at Joint Base McGuire – Dix – Lakehurst, in New Jersey.

Oct. 4, 2014 - FORT DIX, N.J. – SGT Whitney Conder of U.S. Army finished with a 3-1 record in her five-athlete round-robin to win the silver medal at 53 kg, the top U.S. performance on the first day of the CISM World Military Championships at the Griffith Field House.

June 19, 2014 - Spenser Mango (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP) was named 2013 Greco-Roman Wrestler of the Year by USA Wrestling. It is the first time that Mango has won this prestigious award.

March 17, 2014 - The Army Wrestling Team overcame the Marine Corps’ home field advantage to win both the Greco-Roman and freestyle disciplines at the 2014 Armed Forces Wrestling Championship Tournament, hosted by Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, at the Goettge Memorial Field house, March 7 and 8.

March 11, 2014 - The U.S. Army won the Armed Forces Championships team title for the 13th straight year, after winning both the Greco-Roman and freestyle tournaments, which were held March 7-8 at at MCB Camp Lejeune, NC.

March 7, 2013 - 3/7/2013 - JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Temperatures are in the low 40s, but the training facility, located at building 5975, is warm, muggy and saturated in basic military training-reminiscent odors. The mats are drenched in sweat, thus impeding contenders' grips on their opponents. The fast-paced, electronic music playing; grunting and coach yelling make for a noisy training environment. The wrestlers have been grappling, rolling and slamming nonstop for an hour, and still have seven hours left in the training day
