Nov. 9, 2022 - Naval Base San Diego Commanding Officer Captain Ted Carlson kicked off the 2022 Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship at the Admiral Prout Fieldhouse on Saturday, November 6.

Nov. 3, 2022 - Naval Base San Diego, California will host the 2022 Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships featuring teams from Army, Marine Corps, Navy (including Coast Guard) and Air Force (including Space Force), held at the Admiral Prout Fieldhouse from 5-13 November 2022.  

2020 Armed Forces Sports Championships Cancellations
April 10, 2020 - As leadership continues to monitor the current COVID-19 guidance from the Department of Defense and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Armed Forces Sports Council has made the decision to cancel all Armed Forces Sports Championships and events through September 30, 2020.  

U.S. women rebound from tough losses to take bronze at world games

Oct. 27, 2019 - U.S. guard Cinnamon Kava leapt into the arms of teammate Ariel Thomas moments after the U.S. women stormed back from 18 points down to stun France 85-79 in overtime.

Oct. 27, 2019 - Going into the gold-medal game, USA men’s basketball coach Micah Bonner knew the Lithuania team was “fundamentally strong” and attacked the baskets hard. They had beat host China the night before.
