Two Trophies, One Branch: Air Forces Men, Women Capture First Armed Forces Sports Flag Football Championship

July 25, 2026 - The first Armed Forces Sports Flag Football Championship crowned its first champions Saturday, closing out four days of competition that brought together elite athletes from across the U.S. military, and the Department of the Air Force walked away with all of it.
First, Flags Fly: Armed Forces Sports Debuts Flag Football Championship
Women Flag Football players from the Army practice in preparation for the inaugural Armed Forces Flag Football Championship held at Cole Stadium at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas from 22-25 August 2026. Teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy (with Coast Guard players) and the Air Force (with Space Force players) battle it out for gold.
July 22, 2026 - The 2026 Armed Forces Flag Football Championship kicks off July 22, bringing together elite athletes from the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps for a first-of-its-kind tournament on the gridiron.
