USA Finishes 5th at CISM Sailing Worlds
Brest (FRA) - Review of the troops by Vice-Admiral Jean-Philippe Chaineau, Admiral Commanding the Strategic Oceanic Force (ALFOST) - The city of Brest, located in France, hosted the 53rd World Military Sailing Championship. 31 participants (20 male and 11 female) from 7 participating countries took part in the event. June 21, 2022 - The U.S. Armed Forces Sailing team competed at the 53rd Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Sailing Championship in Brest France from May 31st – June 4th. For the 3rd time in its history, the French Navy hosted the World Championship with competing delegations Canada, Spain, Denmark, Greece, Poland, France and USA, consisting of over 40 athletes.

June 15, 2022 - Lt. Cmdr. Trisha Kelly, a surface warfare officer who serves as Military Sealift Command Pacific’s Reserve Program Director, took her nautical skills to Brest, France, where she served as Chief of the Mission, and as a surprise team mate, for the U.S. Armed Forces Sailing team, at the 53rd Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Sailing Championship.

2020 Armed Forces Sports Championships Cancellations
April 10, 2020 - As leadership continues to monitor the current COVID-19 guidance from the Department of Defense and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Armed Forces Sports Council has made the decision to cancel all Armed Forces Sports Championships and events through September 30, 2020.

April 26, 2019 - The application period continues for the upcoming Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) Military World Games hosted in Wuhan, China from October 18-28, 2019.

USA takes gold in sailing at CISM World Games
U.S. Women's Sailing Team capture the gold medal over Russia during the 6th Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) Military World Games in Pohang, South Korea 2-11 October.  Skipper Navy Ensign Mary Hall (left) and crewmember Navy Lieutenant Trisha Kutkiewicz earned placed higher in 11 races, defeating Russia by one point.  The U.S. Women's Sailing team was the first official medal of the World Games for the U.S.
Oct. 8, 2015 - POHANG, South Korea -- Team USA beat out Russia for gold in women's two-person dinghy sailing, Oct. 7 during the Military World Games.

Dec. 4, 2014 - (Doha, Qatar) – The U.S. Armed Forces Sailing team competed at the 47th Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Sailing Championship at the Doha Sailing Club, in Qatar Nov. 22-29.
