Air Forces dominates as Armed Forces Bowling makes a comeback

April 28, 2024 - In what can only be described as a dominating performance, the Air Force took home gold in both men’s and women’s team divisions for the 2024 Armed Forces Sports Bowling Championship. The Navy took silver leaving Army with the bronze. 

Fort Meade to host 2024 Armed Forces bowling championship
FORT LEE, VA. (April 9, 2018) –   Fort Lee will host the 2018 Armed Forces Bowling Championship here April 14-16. This event will feature men and women teams from the Army, Navy, Air Force.
April 23, 2024 - The Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Bowling Championship returns this year featuring teams from Army, Navy and Air Force. The Championship will be held at Fort Meade, Md. 25-28 April 2024.

2020 Armed Forces Sports Championships Cancellations
April 10, 2020 - As leadership continues to monitor the current COVID-19 guidance from the Department of Defense and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Armed Forces Sports Council has made the decision to cancel all Armed Forces Sports Championships and events through September 30, 2020.  

Navy duo brings home gold in Armed Forces Bowling singles challenge at Great Lakes

The Armed Forces Bowling Championship is underway from July 18 to July 24, and features a two-day elimination round and a three-day championship series that began with 50 of the military’s top-ranked bowlers pitted in Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Team-based competition.
Aug. 2, 2019 - Two U.S. Navy bowlers withstood last minute Army challengers to clinch the single men’s and women’s gold at the Armed Forces Bowling Championship hosted at Naval Station Great Lakes, on Monday, July 22.

April 27, 2018 - After taking a year off, Army Staff Sgt. Rose Aguiliar of Fort Bliss, Texas captured her fifth women’s gold medal and Staff Sgt. James McTaggart of Creech AFB, Nevada repeated as champion in the 2018 Armed Forces Bowling Championship at Fort Lee, Va. from 13-17 April.
