USA brings 17 medals home from World Games in Korea

Oct. 29, 2015 - PITTSBURGH -- Team USA athletes who marched into the closing ceremony of the 6th Military World Games Oct. 11 in Mungyeong, South Korea, proudly wore 17 medals earned in competition against more than 100 nations.

Sports bring Air Force couple together, keep them apart

USA takes 3 bronze medals in CISM triathlon

Oct. 20, 2015 - POHANG, South Korea -- Despite beginning with shoulder-high waves breaking on their heads, Team USA took bronze medals in women's senior triathlon, men's senior and mixed team here at the CISM World Games Oct. 10.

USA's Lester takes silver in Greco-Roman wrestling

Oct. 12, 2015 - POHANG, South Korea - Team USA parachutists set a world record as they beat out China to take the gold in women's formation skydiving here Oct. 7 during the Military World Games.

USA wins first three para golds at CISM World Games

Oct. 9, 2015 - MUNGYEONG, South Kore -- USA's hopes for a medal in men's team cycling were dashed on the last hill as a group of French bikers charged and cut off America's designated sprinter, Air Force Maj. Ian Holt.

USA takes gold in sailing at CISM World Games

Oct. 7, 2015 - ANDONG, South Korea (6 Oct., 2015) – The U.S. men’s basketball team ran into a bump in the road on the way to the medal rounds at the 2015 World CISM Games here, falling 97-94 to the host South Korean team in an overtime thriller.

Oct. 4, 2015 - ANDONG, South Korea - The U.S. Armed Forces men's basketball team slam-dunked their way to huge wins in their first two events this weekend in the CISM World Games at Andong Indoor Gymnasium.

Oct. 3, 2015 - MUNGYEONG, South Korea -- The 7,000 service members from 103 nations who marched into the stadium Friday evening for opening ceremonies of the Military World Games here included some who have recently been near conflict with each other.

Sept. 29, 2015 - MUNGYEONG, South Korea - Vietnamese troops stood side by side today with U.S. service members at the opening ceremony of Mungyeong Athlete's Village as delegations began arriving here for the Military World Games.
