Air Force Women, Army Men win Armed Forces Basketball Championship

The Armed Forces Basketball Championship brings together service members from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy (with Coast Guard athletes), and Air Force (with Space Force athletes) to compete at the national level. Armed Forces Sports promotes physical fitness, provides competitive opportunities for military athletes at national and international levels, supports recruitment and retention efforts, and strengthens partnerships through sports diplomacy.

May 18, 2026 - As the 2026 Armed Forces Sports Basketball Championship concluded, the champions had been crowned. The U.S. Air Force women’s team soared to victory with an undefeated streak, claiming their third consecutive title. On the men's side, the U.S. Army team fought fiercely, pushing their game into overtime to reclaim their place at the top, making it their first championship win since 2022.
