Aug. 20, 2024 - The All-Navy Women’s team secured its third consecutive title and the All-Army Men clasped their second consecutive gold today after bitter-end battles to the close out the 2024 Armed Forces Softball Championship at USA Softball’s Devon Park in Oklahoma City.

Aug. 17, 2024 - The Air Force Men’s and Army Women’s teams secured top seeds as the USA Softball Armed Forces tournament heads into its championship series at Oklahoma City’s Devon Park this weekend.

Aug. 13, 2024 - A steady stream of fly balls cleared the fence today at Oklahoma City’s Devon Park as top athletes from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines went head-to-head in this year’s Home Run Derby to unofficially kick off the USA Softball 2024 Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Championship.

Aug. 8, 2023 - Four branches of the United States military will go toe-to-toe at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex during the Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Championship with the event held in Oklahoma City for the first time in history. Opening on Friday, August 4 and running through Wednesday, August 9, top athletes from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps will take part in pre-event festivities and five days of slow pitch action – culminating with Championship play on August 9.

Another marquee softball competition has been added to the 2023 USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex event schedule as the Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s National Championship is set to make its debut at the Softball Capital of the World® this summer. Slated to take place August 6-9, top-level athletes from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps will form teams in their respective branches with the coveted National Championship title on the line. The 2023 event marks USA Softball’s second time to host the prestigious Armed Forces National Championships following the 2014 event held at Edmond Route 66 & Sports.

Aug. 28, 2022 - Air Force defeated host Army in the championship game 16-8, to capture their second straight Armed Forces Men’s Softball Championship at MG Dinges Sports Complex here at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Aug. 27, 2022 - Tech. Sgt. Derek Lambertson of Hurlburt Field, Fla. knocked in five runs to lift Air Force over Marine Corps in their final game of the day two of the 2022 Armed Forces Men’s Softball Championship. The victory over the Marines helped Air Force maintain their lead after the second round of the triple round robin played here at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. 

Navy captures first women’s softball gold since 1985
U.S. Navy wins gold for the first time since 1985, defeating Air Force 20-17 in the championship game.  The 2021 Armed Forces Women’s Rugby Championship held at Fort Campbell, KY from 11-13 August. Aug. 17, 2021 - The U.S. Navy, powered by the bat of Seaman Patsy Erwin of Naval Station Mayport, Fla., ended their 36-year wait for Armed Forces Women’s Softball gold with a 20-17 win over three-peat defending champions Air Force on Friday at the South Sports Complex at Fort Campbell, Ky.

April 10, 2020 - As leadership continues to monitor the current COVID-19 guidance from the Department of Defense and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Armed Forces Sports Council has made the decision to cancel all Armed Forces Sports Championships and events through September 30, 2020.

Sept. 25, 2018 - There wasn’t a dry eye in the wave of emotions as the Men’s Marine Corps Softball team shocked the world winning gold in 18 years at the Armed Forces Men’s Softball Championship held here at Barrancas Ball Fields, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., Aug. 20-22.

Sept. 24, 2014 - FORT SILL, Olka. – The All-Air Force Women’s Softball team captured their first gold medal since 2007. After dropping their first game of the tournament to Army 8-2, Air Force didn’t look back posting an impressive record of eight wins and one loss.

Sept. 25, 2013 - FORT SILL, Okla. -- The All-Army Women's softball team successfully defended its crown by virtue of winning the first six games of the Armed Forces Softball Tournament. The All-Army women defeated All-Air Force 12-5 and All-Navy 10-0, Sept. 15. The next day they defeated Air Force 8-4, and Navy 9-1. And Sept. 17, the Soldiers defeated the Airmen 3-2, and the Sailors 4-2. The women's tournament ended Sept. 18.
