Navy Men and Army Women Dominate at 2026 Armed Forces Cross Country Championship

The Armed Forces Sports Cross Country Championships bring together service members from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy (with Coast Guard athletes), and Air Force (with Space Force athletes) to compete for selection to the U.S. Armed Forces Cross Country Team. Armed Forces Sports promotes physical fitness, provides competitive opportunities for military athletes at national and international levels, supports recruitment and retention efforts, and strengthens partnerships through sports diplomacy.
March 9, 2026 - The 2026 Armed Forces Cross Country Championship witnessed a thrilling competition at the Windcrest Golf Club, with the Army women’s team and the Navy men’s team emerging as the dominant forces, securing their respective team titles. The event brought together the most elite runners from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard for a fierce battle for individual and team glory.

Jan. 23, 2026 - The nation’s top military athletes are set to compete as the Navy hosts the 2026 Armed Forces Cross Country Championship. The race will take place on Saturday, 24 January, at the Windcrest Golf Club. Elite runners from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy (including Coast Guard members), and Air Force (including Space Force members) will vie for individual and team glory.

Jan. 31, 2025 - Staying in a pack until the last mile, the Air Force elite athletes swept the podium and the team win in the men’s 10K division during the 2025 Armed Forces Cross Country Championship at the Windcrest Golf Club here Jan. 25.

Jan. 31, 2025 - In perfect 45-degree overcast weather, 23 elite female runners from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard took to the starting line of the 8K Windcrest Golf Club course for the Armed Forces Championship Jan. 25.
