Oct. 27, 2019 - Going into the gold-medal game, USA men’s basketball coach Micah Bonner knew the Lithuania team was “fundamentally strong” and attacked the baskets hard. They had beat host China the night before.

Oct. 26, 2019 - The U.S. Armed Forces men's basketball team had begun their appearance at the CISM Military World Games with a rough loss against China, but fought back with a vengeance during their next four appearances on the court.

Oct. 21, 2019 - As the U.S. Armed Forces women’s basketball players began warmups in their matchup against host China Monday, a raucous crowd filed into Wuhan’s Hankou Culture and Sports Center. About 60 uniformed Chinese military sat on one end while China’s towering front line slowly made their way onto the court.

Small but talented Armed Forces Basketball Team to compete for Gold

Oct. 9, 2019 - FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. -- During the upcoming Military World Games in Wuhan, China, the U.S. Armed Forces women's basketball players will face taller, Olympic-caliber players.

Selection Process

The U.S. Armed Forces Men's and Women's Teams are comprised of players who participated at the Armed Forces Basketball Championship held at Naval Base Mayport, FL from 1-9 June 2019.  The top available players were selected by the Service representatives of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force.
