Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class scores in the 17th minute, topping Air Force 1-0 to win match three of the 2016 Armed Forces Men’s Soccer Championship held at Fort Benning, Ga. on 9 May.

Despite losing two starters to red cards in their first match, Navy bounced back from their defeat versus Army on day one of the Championship.

In the final minutes of the match, Air Force unleashed a barrage of shots on goal forcing Navy’s defense to work overtime.  However, Navy’s defenders held the line raising their record to 1-1.

The 2016 Armed Forces Championship format consists of round robin play, where each team faces one another once for seeding.  The top two best records will face one another in the championship match to claim the 2016 Armed Forces crown.
