From the Battlefield to the Soccer Field: Marine Infantryman's Dream Comes True

June 11, 2018 - Team Captain for the All-Marine Corps Men's soccer team Gunnery Sgt. Alberto Boy, from Elmwood Park, Ill., has been playing soccer since he was three years old. While his passion turned to serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, his love for soccer remained. Boy said he has wanted to play for the All-Marine team since 2010 but was not able to due to serving six overseas deployments, including three tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.

June 11, 2018 - After winning all three regular tournament matches, the Air Force men’s soccer team defeated Navy in the championship match 5-2 to take their second straight title winning the 2018 Armed Forces Soccer Championship at Fort Bragg, N.C.

June 7, 2018 - Air Force and Navy solidified their spot in the championship match after wins in round two of the 2018 Armed Forces Men’s Soccer Championship held at Hedrick Stadium on Fort Bragg, N.C. on June 5.

June 1, 2018 - Fort Bragg will host the 2018 Armed Forces Men’s Soccer Championship here June 2-10. This event will feature teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force along with athletes from the Coast Guard competing on the Navy team.
