Air Force beat Marine Corps 81-43 in game seven of Armed Forces Women’s Championship

Air Force Staff Sgt. Tiffany Guthrie of JB Elmendorf, Alaska scored 13 points as Air Force defeated  Marine Corps 88-64 in game-seven of the 2016 Armed Forces Women’s Basketball Championship at the Chaparral Fitness Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland AFB, Texas on July 4th.

Marine Corps Sgt. Sandra Sommerville of MCB Quantico, Va. scored 10-points and six rebounds.    

The second round of pool play continues as Army will face Marine Corps and Air Force will go up against Navy on the 5 July. 

The 2016 Armed Forces Championship format consists of double round robin play, where each team faces one another twice for seeding.  The top two best records will face one another in the championship match to claim the 2016 Armed Forces crown.
