Army stays undefeated with win over Air Force in game-six.

Army Spc. Vanessa Laminson of Fort Bliss, Texas scored 21 as Army defeated  Air Force 70-55 in game-six of the 2016 Armed Forces Women’s Basketball Championship at the Chaparral Fitness Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland AFB, Texas on July 3rd.

Air Force Staff Sergeants Charmaine Clark of Robbins AFB, Ga. and Tiffany Guthrie of JB Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska each score 18 points. 

Army’s win places them in 1st place of the tournament through the first round of pool play. 

In the start of the second round, Army will face Navy and Air Force will go up against Marine Corps on the 4th of July. 

The 2016 Armed Forces Championship format consists of double round robin play, where each team faces one another twice for seeding.  The top two best records will face one another in the championship match to claim the 2016 Armed Forces crown.
