Coast Guard's Shaniqua Bennet of USCGC Eagle hits the jumper against Marine Corps in Game Five of the 2016 Armed Forces Women's Basketball Championship at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland AFB, Texas on 3 July. Navy would defeat the Marine Corps 88-64.

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tesah Badilla scored 17-points off of four-three pointers.

Navy finishes the first round of pool play with a record of 2-2.

In the start of the second round, Army will face Navy and Air Force will go up against Marine Corps on the 4th of July.

The 2016 Armed Forces Championship format consists of double round robin play, where each team faces one another twice for seeding. The top two best records will face one another in the championship match to claim the 2016 Armed Forces crown.
