Led by two goals from Jessica Schlegel, Germany (2-0) peppered Belgium’s net with numerous scoring chances, outshooting the Belgians 15-0 in the first half and 27-0 for the game. Behind a solid backline, Germany has not allowed a shot in its first two games.

Despite a valiant effort by Belgian goalkeeper Lisa Malfroidt and defender Kiesi Borgmans, Belgium (0-2) couldn’t prevent first half goals by Germany’s Celina Ludwig and Laura Winkelmann. Eileen Schulz also scored for the Germans in the 65th minute.

Germany next takes on the United States at 7 p.m. Friday. Belgium faces Ireland at 7 p.m. Sunday.
