Naval Base Ventura County to host 2023 Armed Forces Triathlon

The Armed Forces Triathlon Championship featuring teams from Army, Marine Corps, Navy (including Coast Guard) and Air Force (including Space Force), will be held at the Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu Beach, California on 1 April 2023.  

Navy is looking to defend their men and women team titles after sweeping the 2021 Armed Forces Championship. Navy women have won the team title three times in a row and are looking for their fourth straight title.  

The Armed Forces Triathlon Championship features an Olympic Distance, draft-legal race with a swim of 1500 meters, followed by a 40 km bike and 10 km race. Each Service team will enter athletes in both the elite and master’s divisions.  

The top five men and five women finishers of the elite division and top three masters will compete in the 2023 Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Triathlon Championship held in Brive la Gaillarde, France from 4-9 May.
