SPOKANE, Wash. –
Morgane DuPorge scored two goals and assisted on another in the first half, spurring France to an 8-0 victory over the Netherlands in the opening match for both teams at the 2022 CISM World Military Women’s Football Championship Tuesday night.
France’s Sarah Palacin scored the second goal on a pass from DuPorge, then returned the favor kicking a beautiful leading ball to DuPorge who beat Dutch keeper Zoe Van Broekhoven for a 3-0 lead in the 35th minute.
Palacin also led Fanny Proniee on a breakaway where she beat Broekhoven one-on-one for a score in the 57th minute to give France (1-0) the lead.
Anissa Belkasmi, Thipaine Brissonet, Julie Pasquereau and Viviane Boudaud also added goals for the French women in the second half. France next plays Mali on July 16 at 3:30 p.m. PST and the Netherlands takes on Canada at 3:30 p.m. PST on July 14.
