Luge doubles team readies for run

Matt Mortensen (right) for their first heat of the Olympic luge doubles event Feb. 12 at Sanki Sliding Centre in Krasnaya Polyana, Russia. Mortensen and Griffall finished 14th with a two-run cumulative time of 1 minute, 41.703 seconds. The German duo of Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt won the gold medal with a winning time of 1:38.933, followed by silver medalists Andreas Linger and Wolfgang Linger of Austria (1:39.455) and bronze medalists Andris Sics and Juris Sics of Latvia (1:39.790).
