Air Force women go undefeated and there is a three-way tie in the men’s division after day one of the 2018 Armed Forces Women’s Volleyball Championship at Hurlburt Field, Florida Aderholt Fitness Center on 8 May.
In the best of five sets, Air Force women defeated Navy 3-1 and Army 3-2 to take the top spot on day one of the tournament. Navy bested Army to finish the day with a 1-1 record.
One the Men’s side, Army beat Navy 3-2; Navy defeated Air Force 3-2; and Air Force finished the night taking Army 3-1.
Action returns on 9 May in this triple round robin championship. Top players will earn a spot on the U.S. Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Volleyball team that will compete at the Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Military Volleyball Championship held in Edmonton, Canada from 26 May through 5 July.
