TWO USA WOMEN SELECTED TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ALL STAR TEAM
With the end of the Female tournament, the best players were awarded for different skills, and the prizes were established according to the final statistics. The star was the German champion who won four categories. Individually, two players won two awards: the Greek Marina Kalaintzieva and the German Steffi Lehanmm.
The American player Amanda Psiaki was selected the best libero, with success average of 54.70%, surpassing the finalist Manuela Magistrali. But the best digger was not the American player; it was the German Steffi Lehnamm, with success average of 4.57per set. The same German player was also the best reception of the tournament, with 40.91% of efficiency. The competitor Nadja Jenzewski was the best setter, with success average of 5.33 per set.
In the requirement where the scoring is directly related, the stars were the German Brigit Thumm, with average success of 46.62% in attacking (spiking); the American Rachael Travis, with 1.13 of success per set in the blocking; and the Greek Marina Kalaintzieva as the highest scorer, with 109 points. The Greek player was again the best in serving, with 0.55 success per set.
