BYERS TAKES GRECO GOLD AT CISM - GLEN GARRISON GETS A BRONZE!

08/21/2005 - SSG Dremiel Byers of the U.S. Army's World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) proved once again that he is one of the world's top contenders in the 120 KG weight class.  SSG Byers was the lone USA gold medalist in the 2005 CISM World Military Wrestling Championship conducted at Vilnius, Lithuania. SSG Byers' WCAP team mate, SGT Glen Garrison, added to the USA medal count by capturing the Greco bronze in the 66 KG weight class. Overall the USA finished 8th as a team. Although the USA did not medal in freestyle competition, three wrestlers - CPT Eric Alberracin (Army/55KG); SPC James Henderson  (Army/74KG); and LT Josh Feldman (Navy/120 KG)  all advanced to bronze medal matches.
