Feb. 20, 2020 - As her T-6 jet descended lower in the November sky toward the tarmac, the disappointment hit her hard, with more force than one of her trademark volleyball spikes.

Oct. 24, 2019 - Down two sets to none, the U.S. Armed Forces women’s volleyball team faced the possibility of dropping a second contest to border rival Canada during the Military World Games Oct. 22.

March 7, 2019 - Looking for their fourth and third straight titles respectively, the Air Force Men and Women’s Volleyball team went undefeated during the opening round of the 2019 Armed Forces Volleyball Championship at Fort Bragg’s Ritz Epps Physical Fitness Center in North Carolina.

May 12, 2018 - Establishing dominance by the end of the second day of the three-day tournament, the Air Force men’s and women’s teams were on the path to gold early at the 2018 Armed Forces Volleyball Championship at Hurlburt Field, Fla. from May 7-11.

Navy Volleyball Players Save Two Lives

June 9, 2017 - USA defeated Germany and Canada defeated the Netherlands in three straight sets each to rise to the second and third place positions after day-three action of the 18th Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Women's Military Volleyball Championship (2017) on June 6th at the Mayport Fitness Center on Naval Station Mayport, Florida.

June 7, 2017 - The U.S. Armed Forces Women's Volleyball Team defeated the Netherlands, and China defeated Germany to set the stage for the finals of the 18th Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) World Women’s Volleyball Military Championship here at the Fitness Center at Naval Station Mayport, Florida.

June 6, 2017 - Team USA beat the Canada 15-13 in the fifth set to register their first win and China dominated Netherlands to remain undefeated in the second day of the Conseil International du Sports Militaire Women's Volleyball Championship here at the Fitness Center at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, June 5th.

May 19, 2017 - Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Angelina Pulu of North Island and Coast Guard Seaman Mary Lavery of Philadelphia lead Navy with 12 kills each to top Air Force in the opening match of the 2017 Armed Forces Women’s Volleyball Championship at Naval Station Mayport, Florida fitness center on May 18th.

June 18, 2015 - With a slim roster of eight players, Army Women captured their third consecutive Armed Forces title defeating Navy 2-0 and Air Force 2-1. In men’s action, Air Force returned to the top of the podium after beating Navy 2-0 and stopping Army’s four-year championship run, winning 2-1 at the COBO Center in Detroit, Mich. from May 22-24.

June 2, 2014 - (Phoenix, AZ) – The desert heat only added fire to the Army’s Men and Women Volleyball teams as they swept the Armed Forces gold for the second straight year in a row. After being crowned Armed Forces Champions, the Army women proceeded to win the USA Volleyball Women’s A Division National Title.

May 21, 2013 - HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (May 15, 2013) -- All-Army teams completed a clean sweep of 2013 Armed Forces Volleyball by winning the men's and women's indoor championships May 8-12, at the Warrior Fitness Center.

April 18, 2013 - Hill AFB has been selected as the host site for the 2013 Armed Forces Men’s and Women’s Beach and Indoor Volleyball Championship May 2-13. More than 100 athletes, coaches and trainers representing the Air Force, Army, Navy and the Marine Corps will converge on the base to compete to claim the armed forces championship title and the bragging rights that go with it.
