USA cyclists complete 80-mile race at Military World Games

Oct. 21, 2019 - WUHAN, China -- After nearly three hours of twists and turns, members of the Armed Forces Sports Men’s Cycling team fell short of victory during the 7th CISM Military World Games individual road race.

Oct. 20, 2019 - WUHAN, China (Oct. 23, 2019) – A hit from behind on the final lap may have dashed the USA’s hopes for gold in women’s cycling, but bruised ribs and a cracked helmet didn’t stop Army Sgt. 1st Class Maatje Benassi from crossing the finish line.

March 4, 2016 - Air Force Major Ian Holt, member of the U.S. Armed Forces Cycling Team and Air Force World Class Athlete, will compete in the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in London on Friday, March 4.

Oct. 9, 2015 - MUNGYEONG, South Kore -- USA's hopes for a medal in men's team cycling were dashed on the last hill as a group of French bikers charged and cut off America's designated sprinter, Air Force Maj. Ian Holt.

US Armed Forces Race in 2013 CISM Cycling Championship; Women take bronze

Sept. 26, 2013 - The 2013 World Military Cycling Championships (CISM) were hosted by Belgium, 2-6 Sep, with the road races in Leopoldsburg and the mountain bike races held in Beringen. This was the first time ever that World Military Championships were offered for women and also a first for mountain biking. Ten countries participated in CISM Cycling 2013. The road races were held on a flat but very technical course, typical of Belgian racing in the Limburg region. The mountain bike races were on a world-class course that had been used for the Belgian National Championships just a few weeks prior.
